Starr Aviation is pleased to offer Light Aircraft Accident forgiveness for our policyholders who operate piston powered aircraft for their own personal, pleasure and business use (non-commercial.) To participate in our Accident Forgiveness program you must complete one of the following preceding any covered loss.

Approved Air Safety Foundation approved courses (online at www.aopa.org) within the last 6 months, or completion of any of the following courses in the last 12 months:

• Any phase of Wings (see FAASafety.gov for more information)
• Bonanza Pilot Proficiency Program (BPPP www.bppp.org)
• Cirrus Pilot Proficiency Program (CPPP www.cirruspilots.org)
• Cessna Pilots Association Recurrent Training (CPA www.cessna.org)
• Cessna Advanced Aircraft Recurrent Training (CAART www.cessnaadvancedaircraftclub.com)
• Coast Flight Recurrent Training (Simulator Based www.iflycoast.com)
• Mooney Aircraft Pilots Association (MAPA www.mooneypilots.com) Recurrent Training
• Simtrain Recurrent (Cirrus Aircraft Only—Simulator Based www.simtrain.net)

Starr Aviation will waive the deductible for physical damage losses or non-owned physical damage losses (up to $500) provided the pilot involved in the accident or occurrence has completed an approved training event by a recognized provider as outlined above.

Evidence of completion must be sent within 30 days of the date of loss. Please see the Aviation section on our Claims page for the address and other conntact information.

Claims Experience Rating – Because of your commitment to recurrent training we have eliminated any claims experience rating from your premium calculation.

Exclusions

Accident Forgiveness does not apply if you have had more than one at-fault accident in the 36 months prior to its inception. It also does not apply to accidents Involving fuel exhaustion or starvation, or in which the pilot was using drugs or alcohol, knowingly flying with an expired medical certificate or without a current flight review; or operating the aircraft carelessly or recklessly.

Fixed and rotor-wing aircraft; Piston or turbine powered; Large or small fleets "OK" for Ag transitions fixed and rotor-wing; Non-Chemical; Chemical Drift; Crops Treated; Adjacent Fields; Farmer Owner Grower; Residential Coverage (mosquito control); Picloram Application; Fire Fighting (Single Engine Air Tanker).

Able to provide coverage for business located on airport premises and engaged in aviation activities; Hangar and Fueling Operations; Premises only "ok".
